hi,

i want to install a second drive. the maximum new hard
drive that can be installed is 30gb. if say i install a
40gb hard drive, then will the winXP-home op.sys.
recognize the new hard drive an format it and allow the
useage of the new hard drive upto 30gb?

how would winXP-home deal with this kind of situation?

thanks

You should be able to use any IDE drive. XP doesn't have a
limit at 30 GB. You can put any standard 3-1/2 inch drive
in your computer, 80-250 GB available.
