I have a motherboard based on the SiS 730 chipset with
AMD Athlon XP 1600+, 512Mb ram, and a 64MB Creative
Blaser 4 graphics card, which is built around the NVidia
GeForce 4 chipset. After roughly 10 minutes of running
the machine from a cold boot, doing menial windows things
like checking email and browsing the web my screen will
go dead and the standby light comes on... and then
nothing. It's impossible to get anything from the screen.
The machine carries on running regardless as sounds still
plays and the HD keeps spinning etc etc. Can anyone help?

Check your PSU is adequate. I'd certainly consider this to be a power
and/or cooling issue as the PC goes into standby after 10 minutes of use.
