Hi,
Try the command "sfc /scannow" this should check your system files. Be
prepared it may well ask for the XP CD.
As I understand it this command will check for files that may have been
overwritten by 3rd party software and restore the original.

If you mean from a picture in a webpage. Try delete temporary internet files
from internet options, that can be clear the problem for "save as" when only
a bmp type file is available.

PS if that works the reduce the space for temp files in "settings"
