Hi, Where's my modem in system information. My modem is
showing up everwhere eccept in AOL SYSTEM INFO. It show's
in Propertie's on drive "C", properitie's on my computer.
The one i am using is there and i connect succusfully with
it (Conexant Smart Chip Data Fax V92- 56k). And it does
this just with 8.0 Plus and no earlier version's. If there
were a compatibility problem wouldn't the modem not work
at all? What's going on, I know that this version XP is
new but who know's the answer? Thanks for any help in the
future... RobertO.

If what you are looking at is named "AOL System Info" then that is
part of AOLs software and not part of Windows XP.

Look on the Start menu in Accessories - System Tools - System
Information. What does it say there for the modem?

Good luck
