Umax Scanner does not work with XT

My Umax scanner Astra Nete5470 is suppose to be
compatible with XT and also I bought new drives from Umax
$15, and still the Scanner does not work after a number
of attemts.
Is there an answer to this problem, please if you know or
have an idea of how to fix this problem, let me know.

Install Windows XP, instead of XT and it may work.
