I have two computers both attached to a router
(ethernet). They see each other in My Network Places, and
have access to each others files and printers. When I try
to use Remote Desktop, I get this error:

"The specified remote computer could not be found. Verify
that you have typed the correct computer name or IP
address, and then try connecting again."

I've tried entering the computer name as well as the
internal IP address. I didn't forget to allow connections
in system properties. What's wrong?

In addition to enabling Remote connections, you need to disable the internal
firewall.
