I can't get the CD Rom drive to read DVDs. The error
message I have in the event viewer is "an error was
detected on device \Device\CdRom0 during a paging
operation." The first occurence of this error message was
2/5/03. I wasn't aware of this problem until the other
night when I couldn't watch a DVD. I've watched DVDs
between 2/5 and about a week ago. I hadn't run into a
problem until the other night. Then, dated the night I
tried to view the DVD, an error message read, "The
device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block."
How do I fix this? I've got a Blockbuster rental I'd like
to watch...
