First of all, which drive is the folder on that you are
trying to access? Sounds to me like corrupted or highly
unreadable data is located in the folder/s you are trying
to access. Depending on what type of media it is, would
either reduce or favor this possiblity. If it is a floppy
disk, chances are very high that the data is corrupted,
if it is a CD ROM, perhaps there is a smudge, fingerprint
or scratch on the surface of the CD preventing your drive
to properly read the data, and if it is a hard drive.
well, my friend, this could suggest a bad sector. These
are only what it appears to be to myself and could be
several other things, but due to the lack of information,
that is what I surmise to be the problem.
