Seems like you are going to have to upgrade to XP.

No, the Service Pack will not get you Windows XP. You will have to go out
and purchase it.

Greetings --

Windows XP Home Edition How to Buy
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/home/howtobuy/default.asp

Before proceeding, you should ensure that all the PC's components
are capable of supporting WinXP. This information will be found at
each of the PC's component's manufacturer's web sites, and on
Microsoft's Hardware Compatibility List:
(http://www.microsoft.com/hcl/default.asp). Computer components
designed for use with Win9x/Me very often fail to meet WinXP's much
more stringent hardware quality requirements. This is particularly
true of many models in Compaq's consumer-class Presario product line
or HP's consumer-class Pavilion product line.

Can you obtain WinXP-specific device drivers for your PC's
components, and any necessary motherboard BIOS updates? Additionally,
you can download and run Microsoft WinXP Upgrade Advisor to see if you
have any incompatible hardware components or applications:
