drive numbering

I have installed a second hard drive, it is recognized by
the BIOS but windows xp does not show it.
Originally had 1 HD, 1 FD, 2 CD drives.
How do I make xp find the second drive.
OH, all pins are set correctly on all drives.

Right-click on MY COMPUTER and select MANAGE.
Click on DISK MANAGEMENT and in the lower right-hand
window, right-click on your drive (in the shaded area) and=20
select INITIALIZE DISK.
