When I go into Add or Remove Programs there is
12 "Windows XP Hotfix (SP2)" programs. Are those
updates? If they are, is there any way I can group them
so it doesn't take up so much space?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Hotfixes are the updates downloaded and installed from the
Windows Update website. They should not be uninstalled
since it would uninstall the actual update installed in your
computer.

However, if you wish to remove the "uninstall files" for the
Hotfixes (i.e. $NtUninstallQ314147$ files) and cleanup=20
your Add/Remove Programs list, visit MS-MVP Doug Knox's=20
excellent website for instructions.

But will that completely remove the updates or just the
name in the Add/Remove?

Hi Ryan,

It just removes the ability to uninstall the hotfix. The Update itself =
remains in place.
