I have a user that has a Dell laptop - and when she
starts up her PC the CDROM drive is not recognized by
WinXP. If you go into the Bios before Windows starts up
or if you have the CDROM tray open before it gets into
Windows then Windows sees the drive fine. But if you
dont do these things then the drive is not recognized at
all. It even disappears from Device Manager. Have have
contacted Dell and did all the troubleshooting techniques
and the drive is good - it looks like an XP issue. Does
anybody have any ideas?
