View Full Version : Windows Explorer Hourglass Boggs Down, Keeps Blinking

So, it is a network drive not physically installed in
your computer? If that is what you mean, then sounds to
me like there is a problem with your network and/or
connection to it. Poke around the Networking and the Web
branch and see if you can find anything there. If not,
feel free to email me with more information and I'll do
my best to help you.

I am looking on the network server "common" hard drive
for files. Normally when I access the network hard drive
the hour glass would stay on for a few seconds and then
disappear waiting for me to select, close etc. But now,
it blinks on for 20 or so seconds, goes away for two
seconds and then blinks back on repeating the cycle for
10 minutes or longer. Is this a bad sector like Mundo
suggests?
