I just recently put a geforce 4 graphics card on a
computer that i got from dell. it has windows xp on it.
since i installed it though, i now get in my device
manager and it says "device cannot be started (code 10)"
and it has a yellow circle with an exclamation in it.
can anyone help me with this? my computer has a graphics
controller going also. should i disable this?

thanks

Aaron,

if your system has an onboard graphics controller, you have to disable
it before you can use your new graphics card. You will have to do
this in the systems BIOS setup.

After the onboard video is disabled, boot up and check if the GeForce
now runs. If it does not, go to Device Manager, remove all Display
Adapter devices and select "Scan for hardware changes" from the Action
menu. Then reinstall the new adapter.
