I recently began having problems with a PC running XP.
For months everything ran fine. Now when I try to run
utilities like Disk Cleanup,etc. the task starts but the
program does not communicate, i.e. no indication on the
screen that the utility is running. If I do a CTL-ALT-
DELETE I see the .exe running under the Processes tab but
do not know if the program is actually running. This
same thing happens on other programs such as Internet
Explorer 6.0, etc. Many times, I get the message "Not
Responding" and I end task and reboot the system and then
it may work. Any ideas?
