My HP Pavilion computer doesn't support hibernation. There's no hibernation
tab on the Power Settings in Control Panel.
But WinXP insists on creating hiberfil.sys on my C: drive; the file takes up
261 mb. I can't delete the file in Windows or at a command prompt. If I
reboot the computer in safe mode Windows cannot find the file. I suspect
this is because hiberfil.sys is created every time I boot the computer
normally.
Any suggestions on how to delete the file permanently would be appreciated.
