XP Pro Install... basesrv.dll copy stalls....

Trying to reinstall XP Pro (actually a friend is). She's done it
before and so have I on the same machine. For some reason, after the
partition is formatted and it is begins to copy files, it seems to
stall while copying basesrv.dll. It just sits there at 3%. I know
for a fact this has not happened before!! Makes no sense to me.

Any ideas? How can I get pass this point?

Hi,

Is she reinstalling to a formatted disk? Those kind of hangups usually =
indicate either bad media (CD all scratched up) or misconfigured =
hardware (check BIOS detection settings and remove unnecessary =
peripherals).
