View Full Version : XP SP2 RC1 Windows Firewall

April 14th 04, 06:08 AM
Hello! I have just installed RC1. I wanted to get some
hands on experience in Windows Firewall before I turn
this loose on the users. Windows Firewall is turned off
and all options are grayed out. I am logged on the
workstation as an administrator. This is one of the
workstations in my test domain (Small Business Server
2003). How do I turn Windows Firewall on? What I am
missing?

Greetings --

To turn on the Windows Firewall, there are 3 avenues of approach:

1) By using the Security Center applet in the Control Panel.

2) By using the Windows Firewall applet in the Control Panel.

3) By clicking Start > Network Connections > Right-click the
connection > Properties > Advanced > Windows Firewall - Settings
