Hi,

Recently, I purchased a palm m130, which is a great
tool. It came with a USB cradle, which I connected to my
PC.

The only way I can get my PC to recognize the Palm Pilot
is by running "Add New Hardware", then it recognizes the
palm, but I still can not sync. Fortunately, I obtained
a serial cradle as well, and am able to sync using it. I
do have a scanner and mouse connected using the same USB
card, and they are working fine. I have tried switching
the spots where things are plugged in, etc, and still no
success. The palm is recognized by XP once I run add new
hardware, but I seem to have to run that every time.
Does anyone know what I should change so this is not the
case?

Thank you,
Stuart

This may seem like a stupid question, but your post doesn't really
rule this out...did you run the install routine on the Palm CD for the
130? It has a great set of directions that come with it.

If so, rest assured the problem is not within XP. My M130 syncs just
fine. Contact Palm for support.
