Hi,
Go the the mobo manufacturer's website to download the
latest chipset drivers and update the BIOS.
1. Update the latest BIOS. Flash the BIOS and load
default setting then save and exit.
2. Boot from XP CD, select delete exisiting OS and format
the Harddisk then clean install XP.
3. Download the latest chipset drivers, XP compatible
vedio card and sound card drivers and save them to a
specific folder.
4. Install the chipset drivers first then reboot.
5. Install the sound card drivers and reboot.
6. Install the vedio card drivers and reboot.
7. Install the USB 2.0 drivers, if any then reboot.
Go to device manager and check that all device is normal.
Check all devices work normally.
Install MS Office and other applications and devices
drivers, e.g. printer, scanner, digi cam , etc.
Check to confirm all device work normally.
Download SP1
Update windows patches.
Run CHKDSK, disk cleanup and then run defrag.
