I went through that a few months ago, after checking
everything once than twice, it turns out that it was a
faulty power supply......get an Antec 430 True Power
supply, more juice than you should ever need.......I've
got a DVD-R writer, a CD-RW & a All In Wonder TV tuner
card & everything runs perfect & I still use Windows 98SE.
