I was using my computer the other day, (Windows XP) only
had 3 programs running simultaneously, when it got real
slow responding and my Netscape quit responding and I
couldn't shut down. I had to do a hard boot and then the
blue screen of death appeared with the following error
code.
PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
0x0000004E (0x00000007, 0x000049c8, 0x00000001, 0x00000000)
I haven't downloaded anything recently nor have I installed
any new hardware. The error message keeps telling me that
I have installed some hardware that is incompatible but I
have been running with this setup for several months
without any problem. I also tried going back to a
previous setting from two months ago but I still get the
blue screen.
Does anyone know what these error codes mean and what I
need to do to get back running? Please be explicit in your
directions,.....cuz,....dang it,....I'm still working on my
Geek degree! :o)
