Hello Everyone:
I been having this problem with my computer for a couple
of weeks now. The problem is whenever I restart my
computer, the "Found New Hardware Wizard" detects a new
printer, it doesn't say the name of the printer just that
it detects a new one. I have two printers installed one
HP Photosmart 7150 and one Epson 670. Both printers are
installed correctly and work great. I found this problem
posted this web site under Microsoft Knowledge Base
Articles. It pointed out that the problem appears to be
with HP printer software installed. So I contacted their
on line tech support. I went through all my options and
un-installed and re-installed the HP printer with a new
driver and the problem is still there. So I decided to
remove both printers and un-plug them both from the
computer so that no printers would show up. But guess
what the computer still detects a new printer (no name).
Whats even worse is that I can do anything with my
computer for about 5 minutes when it starts up because
the computer freezes up when it boots up because the
found new hardware is booting up. I have even re-
installed Windows XP but the problem is still there.
Would anyone have any suggestions. The only problem I
can think of is that its a problem with Windows XP. I
have even went through the process of installing this so
call new printer however when it gets to the end it
doesn't install because of course there isn't any printer
to install. Sorry for the long post but its necessary to
explain my problem. Does anyone know of any patches for
Windows XP that might solve my problem. Thanks any help
is appreciated. Donna
