my pc does not seem to perform properly and i have not
got a disc for xp - it was preinstalled when i had the
computer

Did you get a restore disk with your computer? If so, use it. If not you
have to contact the vendor where you got the computer. OEM support comes
from the vendor, not Microsoft.
