my computer doesn't have lpt1 in the device manager so I

Your bios setting for your Parallel Port may not be enabled. If you are not
familiar with the BIOS, you may need to seek assistance. Any changes made
in the bios can damage your system if you are unfamiliar with what you are
doing.
When you power on your system, you will see a message to press some key to
change the system settings. This setting is usually in the advanced bios
settings.
