I just purchased the Microsoft XP Standard Version. I did
not think that I would need to purchase Access because I
have been using ACT for several years. Today my ACT
database is having trouble with corrupted files and I am
considering going and purchasing Access database. I have
been looking on line but do not see that this is sold
seperatley. I need to do this soon because of the
unstable problems that I am having with ACT. Can I
purchase this program seperatley? Or, should I look for a
different database program?

Thank You for your help!

Greetings --

You do realize, don't you, that Symantec's Act and Microsoft's
Access are completely different sorts of products, don't you? Act is
a contact manager, and Access is a tool for building relational
databases. It would take a great deal of learning and work on your
part to use MS Access to create a custom database application that
will function anywhere near as well as Act for contact management.

Donna;
Or you can buy Access separately or as part of Microsoft Office:
