Trying To Install Older Printer & Scanner On XP

PLEASE HELP BEFORE I TEAR ALL MY HAIR OUT!!!

I'm trying to install a Lexmark 2030 jet printer and a
Genius ColorPage Vivid Pro II scanner to my XP notebook
and it's driving me nuts as neither of these are
compatible with Windows XP and I cannot get my
compatibility list through my support centre either for
further help... Will these ever work? I have downloaded
an updated driver patch from Lexmark but have had no luck
with the Genius Website for the right patch...

If Mark's suggestion doesn't work, try a Win2K driver. These often work
for legacy scanners. On warning: I and others have found that the
scanner color balance is often munged in XP. I have never figured out
the reason, but I suspect it is forcing 16bit win95 era scanners into a
32bit XP environment.
