I have recently installed WinXP on my Acer Travelmate 230
notebook. However now when I unplug the USB mouse or USB
memory key it won't recognise it when I plug them back in.
I have checked the Plug'n'play services and they are
running. Even when I rescan the HW Config it does'nt find
these devices until I reboot. I can't seem to find the fix
for this, I am running the current fully patched version
of windows XP.

I had exactly the same problem with my Toshiba Satellite 300C. A bios
update appeared to have solved the problem.

What I found "odd" was the problem was confined to the USB2 Belkin Cardbus I
am using. If I "replugged" into a USB 1.1 port on the machine the device
was recognized again.
