problem with a usb driver

I have a problem installing a usb driver (sis 7002 usb
2.0 enhanced host controller). This problem affects also
the cd rom.
Anyone can tell me how to repair it or have the driver?

It is unclear if you have a driver to install. The vendor should state
that 1. XP has native driver for the device or 2. Install vendor's
driver before connecting the device to the computer or before installing
the card. Check the installation instructions carefully.

Please explain what is happening to the CDROM that is related to the USB
controller problem.
