reinstalled msn messenger 6.1 now wont run

was having trouble with msn messenger so uninstalled it
and reinstalled it on windows xp

now when i run it i get a msg saying its not configured
correctly and it tells me to reinstall it i do this and i
get the same msg everytime
can anyone help please
