For some reason XP started hanging at the welcome screen. I tried a systedm
restore from safe mode with no improvement. In the process I got the
following message:
"Unexpected Error 32769 line 5137 xpclient\base\boot\setup\setup.C"
I continued to try to repair and then got the blue screen with a message
about "bad_Pool_Caller". I now can't access XP at all since setup restarts
and leads me to the same message. I haven't changed any software or
hardware for a long time and everything has been working well. I have
multiple partitions with ME on C (from which I'm sending this message), a
software and a data partition and an XP partition. I also have a second
hard drive with a single partition (an old copy of the XP partition. Any
idea what went wrong and what action I should take?
