Lost DVD software

When I bought my HP 9795C, P4, 1.4, 128MB, it had Win ME.
At that time I was able to play DVDs on the DVD rom player
using WinDVD. I have since upgraded to XP Pro. I no
longer have my DVD software and cannot play the DVDs. Can
you help?
