Greetings Ernst,

The error you're seeing is a server-based error, meaning, there's nothing you can do on your
side to fix it.

You'll have to contact Messenger services in order to have it corrected and explained:
http://messenger.msn.com/help/contactus.aspx
or
http://support.msn.com/contactus_emailsupport.aspx?productkey=messenger&ct=eformfree

Greetings Michael,

Accounts are linked to specific servers and as such, if one specific server is down, you'll
see a message like this on a specific account. If you want more information about what's
going on, you can install MSN Messenger:
http://messenger.msn.com/Download
and use that to sign in, and then give us the error code (similar to 0x8004005), and then
we'll be able to tell you more specifically what's going on.
