My USB Ports are no longer recognized by Windows Explorer.
Up to this time no problems using a Zip drive or memory
stick. As I use the USB ports infrequently I have no idea
when they went bad.
Tried to reinstall the drivers but recieved an error
message in Add new hardware wizard. "There was a problem
installing the driver" "An error occurded during
installation, Acces Denied"
In Device manager the USB controler properties driver
says "Driver not installed Code 28"
How do I send Microsoft support an email with this problem.

Open device manager...remove all devices plugged into your
USB ports...then using device manager, remove the USB root
hub and other USB devices...re-boot and the hub will be
detected and drivers installed. Then, one at a time,
reconnect your USB devices...

I had this same problem where nothing would work when plugged into USB. I
eventually just reformatted and reinstalled xp...haven't had a problem
since.
