Hi,
I currently have Windows ME. I'm a college student and
need some office programs not included in the ME edition,
such as powerpoint. I recently noticed a Microsoft Office
XP edition for students and teachers. It includes
Powerpoint Excel, etc. If I upgrade with XP home edition,
will I also get Powerpoint and Excel, or must I buy both
home edition and the student edition to get powerpoint and
Excel? Thanks

Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office are two different products. Windows
does not come with office.
You can purchase office xp which is a package including powerpoint, word,
frontpage, excel and office tools. It will work on windows 98, ME, 2000 or
XP.
If you were also to purchase windows xp then both xp editions will also run
the office suite of programs.
More information can be found at www.microsoft.com/office and
www.microsoft.com/windowsxp

Greetings --
You need to purchase a version of Office. Neither WinXP Home or
Pro Edition contain any Office applications.
Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of any Windows operating
system. They are, and always have been, separate applications, that
must be purchased and installed separately.
