File folder appears on start up

On Windows XP Professional, how do I prevent a folder
from automatically opening up on top of my desktop,
everytime I start up my computer? Someone suggested
simply removing the folder from the start up, but exactly
where is this located? I have looked in every
possible "start up" location so that I can delete this
folder start up option without success. Where is it
hiding? (already looked in hidden files)

I would generally check the startup settings to find out may cause
this. Applications that start with Windows can be found here:
- the WIN.INI, section [windows], entries "run=" and "load="
- the Registry keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunServices
- the folders
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\START MENU\PROGRAMS\STARTUP
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\{username}\START MENU\PROGRAMS\STARTUP
