Hi,
Keep getting windows not fully appearing/corrupting sometimes when I have 3
or 4 windows open at a time. What causes this?
Suggestions pleeeeeeeeeeeeeze

And your hardware details are?
The details of your RAM would be of particular interest. ('Control
Panel/Performance and Maintenance/See basic information about your system'
will provide that)

yes, sorry, was in a rush last night:
256 MB DDR SDRAM.
Got a performance increase with 1/2 windows open when set Virtual MEm. to
same init. and max size but not for toimes when have 4+windows open.
I'm upgrading with another 512mb at present but I shouldn't have such a slow
machine with 256.

Whether your system will degrade in performance when you have 4 active
windows with 256Mb of RAM will depend on which applications are running in
those windows and which ones are running in the background.
Follow through on your 512Mb upgrade and then see if you still have a
problem.
