Hi, I'm a newbie so be gentle with me.

I'm trying to burn a data CD on a 24X writer, and it keeps
telling me that the writer is too slow for my 32X and 40X
blank platters. Is there any way within XP (Home Edition)
I can get at the write speed to stop it trying to keep up
with the CD's maximum writeable speed?

Thanks

Alec

Alec,
You didn't mention which program you are using to burn CDs. But, with Nero,
EZ CD Creator, and others you should be able to indicate the write speed
you want to use. I sometimes drop it down to 8x or so, depending on the
blank media that I have availble to use.
