I bought CDRW Teac 52*24*52. My XP are not able to detect
it properly. After 10th try, it detected some CD-drive.
But it said that at every CD is only one music track.
After reconecting device, even this activity stopped. CD
is connected the same way as my old CDR (rest in peace),
but XP are not able to find it. Please help. Thanks

Did you make sure it was installed correctly, with the jumper set properly
on the back? Did you use the right kind of IDE cable for the drive? What
other drives do you have, and what are your system specs?

I have Duron 650,128Mb RAM, Sytem: XP.
I think IDE cable is right - I connected the same cabel,
which was connected to my former CD-R (I marked it before
I disconnected it). I hope jumper is OK, again I set it
according to my old drive.
There are two more strange phenomenons:
1. System is even not able to detect my old CDR. It is
badly working, but before I removed it system detected it
OK.
2.
At first I tried to connect my new CD-RW as master (I
didnt know about jumper). After several starts it was
detected but couldnt read any CD properly, it said there
is no folders and files but one music track on CD. After
disconecting CDRW wasnt detected at all. I didnt manage to
reproduce this partial "success". Then I inspected my old
drive, noticed jumper, and set it according old drive.
Again after several tries CDRW was detected but again
wrongly. Then it didnt show even music file. After
disconect, no detection at all again.

Thanks for your efforts very much
