I am trying to install Win Xp on a machine that i
refurbished for my daughter. I got a new XP disk and
started the installation. However it stops when its
installing after it restarts the first time. Keeps
telling my that acpi.sys is corrupt. Why am I getting
this? I upgraded the motherboards bios. The motherboard
is a Gigabyte GA-6VX7-4X-AP with a Pentium III 800EB
onboard. The memory is 128PC133. The hard drive was bad
so thats the only thing I replaced. The system had XP
Home on it original but never got the disk for it so I got
the new XP disk.
