Help,

I have had windows XP pro on my machine now for over a
year. A couple of days ago there was a power outage while
the system was on. Once the power came back the system
came right back up. The following morning I went to boot
up and windows would get to the logo and then keep
rebooting. I tried recovery console with fixboot and
chkdsk but with no success. When I went to reload win XP,
the setup has the C drive listed as F and is telling me it
does not recognize the format. Now it wants to reformat
everthing in order to install XP. I have had other power
outages with out any problems. Now when windows wants to
boot up its looking for the C drive but the system is
actually listing it as F and causing Win To keep rebooting
because it can't find the C drive. Is there anyway to
rename the drive or just be able to access the files
without being in windows?

Thanks
