scaner help needed

any one help recently installed windows xp now scaner
Ultima 2000+ wont function try to run and scan and the
following message appears

can not operate
check scaner is connected properly
check scaner is connected to power (green light does com
on )
note can not connect scaner to buss power point
help if you can please

Hello

Have you tried going to the vendor of who made that scanner
and look for drivers for that scanner, also you want to make sure
it is supported by winXP

Go to the manufacture's website and download WInXP drivers; if none are
available for WinXP, try the Win2000 drivers; they should work.
