HP Scanners (plural)

Has anyone figured out a way to connect two HP scanners at
one time via USB ports in a system with XP Home edition
OS? I have a HP Scanjet 4400c and a HP PhotoSmart S20
scanner, and XP tells me that I can't connect both via USB
ports because the USBSCAN.SYS driver can't handle both.
The KnowledgeBase suggested resolution is to only connect
one at a time, and to shutdown the computer and
reconfigure every time I want to use the other scanner.
Isn't there an acceptable solution to this problem? Going
through the parallel port doesn't work, as the HP install
says that I have a USB port, so use it, and won't
recognize the parallel connection.

Hello

Never came across a problem like your having but sounds to me
it's one or the other and not both at the same time. I would contact
HP Tech Support and they should be able to give you a much better
answer

[NoNoBadDog!]

USBSCAN.SYS has to initialize the instruction set based upon the scanner
model, so you cannot attach both at the same time.
