Why does XP only report 149-GB when the bios reports 160-
GB? is there a driver update that will correct this? Will
this cause loss of data if uncorrected?

Hard drive mfrs. count in decimal.
MS is hard-headed.
That is the full capacity of your drive
the way MS counts.

Nothing to do with MS. That's the way COMPUTERS count - in binary.

You numbskull. I was making a joke. I was counting in binary before you
were born.

And how do you know that? You've absolutely no idea how old I am! Have you?

I can pretty much guess your age by your attitude, which isn't good.
Your responses indicate a lack of attention to detail.
In fact, reading many of your responses leads me to believe
that you don't often bother to read posts. You merely read
the Subject line and respond without reading the
actual post. That is another indication of your immaturity.

I'm sorry I have no idea what you're talking about. I go into as much detail
as I am able, based on the information I'm presented with. I read posts very
carefully (would you please give me an example of a post where you think I
haven't?) I actually don't bother with the subject line and, all too
frequently, have been wrong because some vital piece of information has been
contained within it, and I've missed it.
OK, I'd like you to do two things for me
1) Tell me how old I am
and
2) Pop over to the Publisher group (microsoft.public.publisher) and tell
me how old you think David Allenberg (MS Publisher) is. I can tell you
you'll be way out.
In fact, I know for certain you're in a minority, but your opinions don't
really concern me.

You want me to do WHAT?
Pop into another newsgroup? Why?
Do all Brit women think they are Queen?
I thought the current Queen is Elizabeth.
I have never heard of Queen Cassandra.
I am not going to go back and look for the post. It was one of my posts
of several weeks ago.
In my post I had said that I had already been to ( xxx ) knowledge base
and that it wasn't applicable to my situation.
Your reply was simply a post, ( with no comments, ) of the same ( xxx )
knowledge base that I had said that I had already visited.
Now, did you read my post? I don't see how you possibly could have.
Anyway, after reading your response to my post I started paying attention
to some of your other posts. It is quite obvious to me that you either
do not read or maybe you just do not absorb detail which is so typical
of a youngster.
