Do a search on google for either of these two free utilities;
SiSoft Sandra
Belarc Advisor
They both will tell you what ram you have installed, what speed, etc...

AIDA32 will even tell you who made the RAM, not just who
sold and labeled it.

www.crucial.com or www.kingston.com or www.pny.com will tell
you what kind of memory you "should have" and what was
factory standard. But to know what is inside you need a
program that will scan your system and report, such as Bel
Arc Advisor www.belarc.com or AIDA32
http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php AIDA32 will even report the
actual manufacturer of the RAM (some surprises possible).
