Microsoft bluetooth mouse not working

I have a Bluetooth MS mouse and keyboard bought on the
11/4/2003. They were both working fine until a few days
ago where I noticed that the mouse was starting "freezing"
every now and then without any apparent reason. I had to
reboot the PC for it to work for a day or so and then
freeze again. I uninstalled both Intelli pro (keyboard)
and Intelimouse software and I tried to reinstall from
fresh both the mouse and the keyboard. Although the
keyboard installation went according to the instruction
the mouse installation does not complete, i.e. "device not
found" when it searches to find the mouse. I followed a
few times the whole process, made sure new batteries were
installed, the reset button pressed etc. I run the
troubleshooting and help and I made sure all was ok but no
success in finding the bluetooth mouse. The keyboard is
working fine...
I am using win XP and the intelipoint version 4.90.217.0
(no upgrades available on the MS site for it)
All XP upgrades are done.

Can you please help me?

Remove the bluetooth mouse from "Control Panel->Wireless Links" and rerun
the wizard. Other than that, sounds like your mouse may be dead.

BTW, on rare occasions I get these "freezes" and I've found that unplugging
the transceiver and then plugging it back in again solves it.
