I have problems with both my DVD-ROM player and CDRW. The
problem is not related to the HW itself and I have
confirmed that they are working ok.
In device manager I see the following error code for both
of them:

"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its
configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete
or damaged. (Code 19)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this
device."

Is there anyway to fix the registry for them in Win-XP?
Is this problem related to Drivers or registry?

Best regards

Kenny

Try deleting them from Device Manager and re-booting, Windows will reload
drivers for them.
