I can not install my CDROM drive or my CDRW drive.
When I connect drive(s) and start XP it locates new device and shows correct
name of device then locates it as a CDROM device and loads default driver
for CDROM.
This happens both when connected at same time or on seperate boots.
Both devices are on second IDE, CDRW as master and CDROM as slave.
After it boots, and I go to my computer and check hardware it shows CDROM
(generic) for both drives and they do not work.
When I try to uinstall, I have to connect my CDROM to each device and
uninstall then restart windows and repeat. Most of the time that I try to
uninstall the driver the program hangs and I have to terminate.
Primary IDE slave and master have hard drives connected
Anyone?
