I need to know if when we upgrade to Windows XP, if
Publisher 2000 will work via XP. If not, will Publisher
2000 files convert to Publisher 2002 files?

Hello Kris
Yes Publisher will still work in your upgrade and to some degree
you may have to re-install that software, if you upgrade from one
OS to another no need for that, but if you do a clean install you will
have to re-install that software.

Also, Publisher is very critical about opening files from
one version to another...Publisher 2000 can not open
Publisher 2002 (XP) files. Publisher 2002 can open P2000
files and it can save files in versions that previous
version can open.
P2000 will run just fine on XP. P2002 can read your old
P2000 files and has some nice new features. But if you have
several computers, if you upgrade some to P2002 you'll have
to be sure to save files in both 2000 and 2002 file formats
so you can open the files on all your computers.
