To boot in safe mode,or last known,on start-up,immed. tap
the F8 key,the xp cd isnt involved.To try recovery,inst-
all the xp cd,turn off computer,follow the guide of
installation,xp menu should ask for the install of xp,
or the recovery console which is pressing the r key.The
shutdown method should work for recovery,recovery is
part of xp.
